Build skills you can prove to employers

Meridian prepares you for work in software, data, design and digital marketing through practical study around your job. Review the next intake and apply.

Practical training with accountable assessment

We teach people who are building a career while they work. Our instructors combine practical experience with structured teaching, and every programme produces assessed work you can show.

You see the criteria before you begin. A named assessor reviews your work against the published rubric and records the competencies it demonstrates, with evidence attached.

Founded in 2019, Meridian began as a Saturday class in Yaba for working adults changing direction. We still design learning around real schedules, with weekend cohort sessions, self-paced study and lessons that can be saved for offline reading.

When your work needs improvement, you receive feedback on each criterion and another opportunity to submit it. The assessment decision is explained and carries the assessor's name.

A structured week that fits around work

Cohort learners meet on Saturday mornings in our Yaba studio or online from outside Lagos. Each session combines a focused demonstration with practical work, instructor support and a clear task to complete between sessions.

Cohorts

Apply for the next intake

Cohort places are limited and applications are reviewed before enrolment.

An assessor and a learner smile as they go through feedback on a laptop.

Assessment you can inspect before you begin

Every project is marked by a named assessor against criteria published with the brief. You receive a mark and written reasons for each criterion, with further attempts available when the work is not yet at the required standard.

Experienced people teach and assess your work

Our instructors, assessors and mentors bring experience from engineering, data, design and learner support. Every assessment is signed by the person who made it.

What learners and employers say

Learners describe how assessed work, practical feedback and flexible study changed what they could demonstrate at work.

  • I had been teaching myself for two years and could not tell an employer what I actually knew. The assessed projects gave me something to show.
    Chiamaka NwosuFront-end developer, 2025 cohort
  • The Saturday sessions meant I never had to leave my job. My assessor's feedback on the second project changed how I write SQL entirely.
    Bashir LawalData analyst, 2025 cohort
  • My Skills Passport link went into my applications. Two interviewers opened it while I was sitting there.
    Ovie AkpobomeDigital marketing, self-paced
  • The feedback on my research write-up was the most useful thing anyone has said about my work. I put my passport link in every application, and interviews started from my portfolio instead of my CV.
    Tobi AdewaleProduct designer, self-paced
  • We booked the two-day cloud workshop for our engineering team. Each person's work was marked against a rubric we agreed in advance, so we knew exactly what the team could do afterwards.

Questions

Questions before you apply

Do I need a degree or prior experience?

No. The application asks what you have done and why you want the place, and we review both. Some programmes recommend a starting point; the relevant programme page explains this.

How much time will I need each week?

Cohort programmes meet once a week on Saturday for ten weeks, with three-hour sessions and project work between them. Self-paced programmes have no fixed timetable, and each lesson indicates its usual duration.

What are the fees and how can I pay?

Each programme page shows its fee. Places are settled with one payment; instalments are not available. Some programmes are free.

What will I receive when I finish?

You receive a credential with a verification page and a Skills Passport you can publish and share. Both record the competencies you demonstrated and the work that provided the evidence.

What support is available if I fall behind?

Your instructor can review your progress and a learner mentor will contact you. Where the assignment uses a rubric, you can submit assessed work up to three times.

Can my employer pay for my place?

Yes. An employer can sponsor an individual place or book training for a whole team. Tell us who is paying when you apply and we will invoice them directly.

Can I study on my phone without using data?

Lessons can be saved in the app for offline reading. Videos are not stored on the phone, so watch them when you have Wi-Fi.

What is the refund policy?

Paid bootcamps have a full refund window of 14 days from payment. Paid self-paced programmes have a 30-day window, while free programmes have no payment to refund. Partial refunds are not available.

Where do the Saturday sessions take place?

They take place in our studio in Yaba, Lagos, from 10am to 1pm. Learners outside Lagos join the same session online.
